God has placed some of the most AMAZING people in my life. I have an awesome family, I have friends who have become my family, I have a sound mind, I have been blessed beyond measure. But why do I continue to hold back? To live my life with caution and/or hesitation?
Do you ever find yourself wanting something, wanting to take the leap, but then battling with yourself internally about it? Wanting to do it and then not. Wanting to do it, but then being afraid. I do this all the time! I second-guess myself A LOT out of fear.
Fear is an emotion induced solely by the devil. And so many of us allow the devil to continue to hold his umbrella of fear over our heads.
God tells us in John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
So why, then, do we continue to allow the devil to hold his umbrella over us? We were never intended to live fearfully, but instead fully, limitless, and intently without measure! So long as we love Christ, we have the freewill for abundant living. Abundant living! How amazing that must be. To not worry, to not hesitate, to just live.
I sometimes have a terrible issue with anxiety, which is sparked by my awesome ability to worry. My level of worrying is a skill and I have perfected it! But it is a trait the devil has instilled in me and I pray the same prayer daily to remove this trait:
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24
I do not desire to live a limited life, and the traits of worry and fear limit me. I challenge you, and myself, to live 3 days limitless, just 3. And see how much more full, joyful, and worry-free life will become. God’s greatest law is love. Act on that, add some compassion and simple elation for those around you and watch your perspective change!
“But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it – not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it – they will be blessed in what they do.” James 1:25
We should all aspire to live lovingly and blissfully. I hope you will accept my challenge. Happy Friday! :)
“There may be no perfect life, but there can be aspects of perfect living. I choose to act intently, without fear or worry. I choose to live life abundantly.” -STW
